Itinerary

  • Morning:

    • Pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through Uganda's countryside, passing traditional villages, tea plantations, and beautiful landscapes.
    • En route, stop at the equator for photos and a brief demonstration of the hemispheres.
  • Afternoon:

    • Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park and check into your lodge. Take time to relax and enjoy the views of the savannah and surrounding landscapes.
    • If time permits, embark on a short evening game drive to spot some of the park’s wildlife, such as elephants, antelopes, and buffaloes.

  • Morning:

    • After an early breakfast, head out for a thrilling game drive through the park. The Kasenyi plains are known for their rich wildlife, and you might spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and various antelope species. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector.
  • Afternoon:

    • After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat ride offers the chance to see large pods of hippos, crocodiles, elephants drinking by the water’s edge, and a variety of waterbirds like pelicans, fish eagles, and kingfishers.
  • Evening:

    • Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

    • After breakfast, explore more of Queen Elizabeth National Park with a visit to the Kyambura Gorge for a nature walk. This gorge is home to a variety of primates, including chimpanzees, and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
  • Afternoon:

    • Head back to the lodge for lunch and later embark on another game drive or relax at your lodge enjoying the beautiful scenery.
  • Evening:

    • Enjoy your evening at leisure with a campfire or dinner at your lodge.

  • Morning:

    • After an early breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park, famous for its population of chimpanzees. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and prepare for the thrilling chimpanzee trekking experience.
  • Afternoon:

    • Head out into the lush Kibale Forest with your guide for the chimpanzee trekking adventure. Trek through the dense tropical forest as you search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Once located, spend time observing these fascinating primates as they interact and go about their daily activities. Along the way, you may also spot other primates like colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and a variety of bird species.
  • Evening:

    • Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation after a rewarding day.

  • Morning:

    • After breakfast, bid farewell to the beautiful Kibale Forest and begin your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and stop for lunch en route.
  • Afternoon:

    • Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in the afternoon, where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location, marking the end of your Queen Elizabeth National Park & Chimpanzee Trekking safari.

  • Chimpanzee trekking is suitable for those in moderate physical condition as the terrain can be uneven.
