Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

  • Our guide will pick you up early in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe.
  • Begin the scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through Uganda’s beautiful countryside and lush landscapes.
  • Enjoy a lunch stop en route, either at Masindi or another local restaurant.
  • Arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the afternoon.
  • Visit the top of Murchison Falls, where you’ll witness the mighty Nile River force its way through a narrow gorge, creating a thunderous cascade.
  • After the visit, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Mid-range or luxury lodge, based on your choice.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

  • After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile.
  • Look out for a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and more. The park is also home to a variety of bird species.
  • Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River, heading towards the base of Murchison Falls.
  • On the cruise, spot hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife along the riverbanks, as well as several bird species like the African fish eagle and kingfishers.
  • After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive and Optional Rhino Trekking

  • After breakfast, enjoy another game drive in the park, giving you a chance to see more of Uganda’s wildlife.
  • In the afternoon, there is an option to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (if time allows), where you can trek on foot to see rhinos in their natural habitat.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Return to Kampala/Entebbe

  • After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
  • Enjoy lunch en route and continue the drive, arriving in the late afternoon or evening.
  • Our guide will drop you off at your preferred location, marking the end of your Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari.

  • Murchison Falls National Park is open year-round, but the best time for wildlife viewing is during the dry seasons (December to February and June to August).
