This 10-day Gorilla, Chimpanzees, and Savannah Safari gives you the best of Uganda’s wildlife, nature, and culture. Early in the morning, start your journey from Pro-Uganda, Kiyunga Town, heading toward western Uganda. Have breakfast at Megera Café before proceeding to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to rhinos, zebras, and other wildlife. Enjoy a guided nature walk tracking rhinos for 2–3 hours. Afterward, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, check in at your hotel, have lunch, and later go for an evening game drive before relaxing at the campfire.
Start the day with breakfast, then enjoy a morning game drive in the northern bank of the park. Look out for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and other animals. After lunch and some relaxation, head out for a boat cruise on the Nile River to see crocodiles, hippos, and elephants. End the day with a short hike to the top of Murchison Falls for a breathtaking view before returning to your lodge for dinner and campfire.
After breakfast, drive through western Uganda to Fort Portal, a beautiful city known for its rolling hills, crater lakes, and cultural heritage. Enjoy sightseeing, visit a few crater lakes, and take a short hike for a panoramic view of the city. Dinner and overnight stay in Fort Portal.
Begin the day with a hike to the Saka Hills and explore the Amabere Caves and nearby waterfalls, where you can relax or take a swim. Later, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, check in at your lodge, and enjoy an evening game drive before relaxing by the campfire near Kazinga Channel.
Have an early breakfast and head out for a morning game drive in the park to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, and many other animals. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, known for having Africa’s largest population of hippos and crocodiles. Return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful evening.
After breakfast, go for a guided nature walk and chimpanzee tracking experience. Later, drive to southwestern Uganda, heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. Spend the evening relaxing by the shores of Lake Bunyonyi — Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake. Optional activities include a boat ride, hike, or community walk.
Enjoy breakfast before heading to the briefing point for gorilla trekking. Watch local cultural performances, then join your ranger guide to track one of the gorilla families through the forest. The experience can take 2–6 hours depending on their movement. Return to the lodge in Kabale for relaxation or optional activities in the evening.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, famous for its zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Check in at your lodge and enjoy an evening game drive through the park. Optional activities like cycling or horseback safaris are available for interested guests.
Start your morning with a guided nature walk, spotting zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and possibly leopards or hyenas. Learn about the park’s unique ecosystem from your ranger guide. Return to your lodge for breakfast and lunch, followed by an evening of rest and reflection.
After breakfast, drive through the park as you head back to Pro-Uganda in Kiyunga or to your next destination. Enjoy scenic views and stopovers for photos and souvenirs along the way.
All lodges are inside or near national parks — expect occasional wildlife visits.
