This 3-day adventure to Murchison Falls National Park takes you to Uganda’s largest and most exciting wildlife destination. Day 1: Journey to Murchison Falls National Park
We start our journey early in the morning from anywhere around Uganda. The drive takes us through Kampala City as we head west towards Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, we make a few stopovers at interesting tourist sites for sightseeing and photos.
We’ll stop for lunch in Masindi Town, then continue to the park for an evening game drive. This gives us a chance to see both nocturnal and diurnal animals before returning to our comfortable lodge located in the southern part of the park. Enjoy dinner and relax at the campfire as we prepare for more adventure tomorrow.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Nile River
After an early breakfast, we head out for a morning game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, buffalos, leopards, lions, hyenas, antelopes, and many other wild animals. We’ll explore different parts of the park and experience the beautiful changing landscapes and vegetation zones.
Later in the afternoon, after lunch, we go for a boat cruise on the River Nile — one of the highlights of the trip. The cruise brings us close to hippos, crocodiles, and elephants cooling off by the riverbanks. We’ll also have great photo moments of the world’s strongest waterfalls – the Murchison Falls.
After the cruise, we take a hike to the top of the falls, feel the powerful mist and enjoy panoramic views. We then return to the lodge for dinner, a campfire, and storytelling under the stars.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, we start our journey back to Kampala. On the way, we stop at local markets for fresh fruits and crafts. We’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch made from typical Ugandan food before arriving back in the city — marking the end of a memorable safari.
