Depart from Mukono and drive to western Uganda. Along the way, enjoy breakfast and lunch stops while admiring the beautiful countryside. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge near Kibale National Park, where you will spend two nights.
After breakfast, attend a briefing about how to behave around chimpanzees and other wild animals. Begin your chimpanzee trekking experience, which takes about 3–4 hours through the tropical rainforest. Later, return to your lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, head out for a coffee tour, crater lake exploration, and a community or cultural experience.
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Check in at your hotel and enjoy lunch with a riverside view. In the evening, head out for a game drive, where you may spot lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and more.
Wake up early for a game drive in an open 4×4 safari vehicle to spot more wildlife. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.
After breakfast, drive south-west to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in East Africa, known for its many historical islands. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride visiting different islands, bird watching, and admiring views of the Virunga Mountains at the Uganda-Rwanda border. End your day with a campfire and rest at the lodge.
Drive about 40 minutes to Rushaga Sector in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a briefing, begin your gorilla trekking adventure, where you’ll encounter different gorilla families up close. The trek may take 3–4 hours or longer, depending on their location. Afterward, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional forest lifestyle.
After breakfast, drive through Kabale to Lake Mburo National Park for two nights in the wild. In the evening, go for a game drive to see animals that differ from those in Queen Elizabeth National Park due to varying vegetation and climate.
Start your day with a guided nature walk through the park with a ranger, walking close to zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy another game drive and later visit the lake to watch hippos and other water animals during sunset.
After breakfast, drive back to central Uganda with a stop at the Equator for lunch, photos, and a water experiment showing the difference between the northern and southern hemispheres. Continue to Mukono or the airport depending on your next destination.
